Kapadiko is considered the king of sponges. This species has an almost spherical shape, while its lower surface is rough and with it it adheres to the substrate. Its color is brown and it is found at depths from 9 to 80 meters. Fishing fields are located in Crete, the Dodecanese, the Cyclades and Evia. One of the species of kapadiko is the so-called “Drositis”, which lives in sea caves and its color is light brown.
