The Fino sponge is characterized by great diversity. Its color changes depending on the clarity of the sea. It is a sponge compact, elastic and flexible, while its texture is velvety, which makes it ideal for bathing on sensitive and dry skin as well as for the sensitive skin of babies. It is also very common to use for the addition and removal of cosmetics by women. It is fished in Crete, the Dodecanese, Samos, Evia and at depths up to 100m.
